I guess I've learned the shape of the leaves now and the sound of their breathing. I know how tender you can be in the calmest times, how sweetly your mind can flow whenever a rush of wind flies through your golden window sills. I have learned that it is easier to hold onto a fragile branch rather than a human heart, even yours, because I have seen the lies through your starstruck eyes and have believed the unimaginable.
I know you'll leave when the thunder comes, when the lightning strikes the roof of your thoughts. You'll rush through the doors and leave nothing behind and scream farewell to the places you have loved.
